It was syndicated by the Chicago Tribune/New York News Syndicate. Initially starring Superman, Batman, Robin, Wonder Woman, The Flash and Black Lightning, it underwent several title changes, as the focus changed to primarily feature Superman. 5.75x17" thin artboards w/pen and ink original art in three panels featuring Superman thanking Batman for serving as a "Stand-In For Superman." First panel shows Batman w/captured Joker. Second panel shows Superman and Batman shaking hands and discussing their double-lives. Last panel shows Batman and Joker in Batmobile as Superman flies off. Copyright strip paste-over and creator name block in last panel. Art was for Aug. 1, 1982 (two weeks before the title changed to just "Superman") daily strip written by Mike W. Barr w/art by George Tuska and Vince Colletta.
