Lot consists of all original art produced for Whitman sticker book No. 2169, ©1977 DC Comics Inc. Full color acrylic cover original art is on 11-1/8x16" stiff artboard and shows Superman flying to the rescue of two young people tied up in back of boat piloted by gun-toting men. Margins have tape staining/residue w/some aged tape remaining, none affecting main image area, which remains Exc. Four 10x14" thin artboards w/full color acrylic original art of sticker pieces (and Superman symbol at center) for book have printer labels at margins as well as printer job label at bottom margin. Margins have some pinholes, but art remains Exc. 11.25x15.75" stiff artboard has full color acrylic original art scene at top half and full body image of Superman and RV as well as image w/example placement of pieces. Total of 16 vellum overlay-covered 10x14.25" artboards have pen and ink original art for story pages that stickers were applied to w/blank areas indicating where stickers go. Attached overlays have dotted lines for stickers and printer labels at bottom. Scattered aging and wear, but art remains Exc. overall. Lot also includes file copy of actual book this art was produced for w/inked job number at top of front cover and includes Whitman "Watch For" notice pertaining to printing specifications. Art also includes stiff artboard w/cover mock-up, vellum overlay w/title paste-over and additional tissue paper overlay w/partial color guide. These show wear and are Fine-VF.
