Item Description
Large and impressive 14.5x23" thin artboard has mixed media painting depicting Superman flying at top speed around Metropolis skyline (his progress marked by thin red streak seen around city), flying low over water, parting the water's surface in a wide spray. "Daily Planet" building can be clearly seen. Original art was created by Ken Branch, who worked for DC Comics in the 1990s as an inker on such titles as "Justice League Of America, Wonder Woman" and "Dark Stars" as well as various other titles for Marvel, Valiant, Image and many other companies. Branch has signed in black ink at lower right, adding "'06" date. Branch has also signed and dated back in blue ink. Artboard has slight ripple from watercoloring, but is o/w Exc. Franco Toscanini Collection.
