Item Description
11x14" lobby card for original release of the 1941 Republic serial featuring Tom Tyler as Captain Marvel. Card is for Chapter 4 "Death Takes The Wheel" and features C.C. Beck full body illustration of Captain Marvel at left w/film scene showing him atop car's roof. Pin holes at corners, though top left blends somewhat as pin hole is at brown art accent area. Right pin holes have tack rings, but rest of card remains clean and Fine/VF. Comes w/two 7x10" premium pictures issued by Fawcett Publications in 1946. These are two different issues, one has matte finish w/blank reverse while other is glossy and has "Ross' Drug Store" imprint from Vandergrift, PA w/"Follow 'The Adventures Of Capt. Marvel' Every Monday & Tuesday! Arcadia" theater imprint. Blank back variety has .75" tear at upper right and pinhole/small tear at top center. Fine. Other variety shows moderate handling wear w/creases at corners. Fine. First we've seen of this variety in our 48 years.
