Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains hard plastic Curtiss P-40 Warhawk fighter plane w/assembled size of 14x17x5.5" tall. Marx, 1960s. Box features illustration on lid of two Warhawks landing while side panels feature images of plane's special features/instructions. Lid has overall scattered tiny age spots and scattered corner tip/edge wear. Fine. Plane has removable wings and features detailed tin litho cockpit w/plastic three-dimensional pilot figure from the waist up. Plane has four Army Air Corps star stickers and nose art sticker of Flying Tigers face. Plane has three different buttons in front of the cockpit that operate its features - raising/lowering landing gear, machine gun attachments light and produce firing sound, releasing bomb. Comes w/pair of silver plastic bombs. Also designed w/spring-loaded firing mechanisms in the wings although missing a pair of rocket projectiles. Plane is working and Exc. Great design.
