Auction #216 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 977 in auction 216
Item Description
All but the last are litho with sizes 13/16” to 7/8”. The three picturing Lenin all give his birth and death dates (1870/1924). One is a photo. All call for joining the Communist Party and all have anti-fascism slogans. The first has two small dark paint wear marks on left background but rest is clean and the other two are NM. The first May Day is undated but exhorts “Fight For Unemployment Insurance” while the second is from 1936. Last button is cello and shows white and black female heads with text “Int’l Women’s Day/Fight Imperialist War/Defend Soviet Union”. Back paper by Pudlin, NYC. Reverse .75” cello split by collet but cello lays perfectly flat and split is barely seen. The third Lenin has auction sales in excess of $100. Nice group.
