4-5/8x6-5/8x2" deep box contains Saalfield puzzle #180. ©1940 Superman, Inc. Part of a series of boxed Superman puzzles, see following items #2079-2080. This is "Superman Shows His Super-Strength" puzzle, lid featuring bw image of puzzle that depicts Superman lifting car as seen on the cover of "Action Comics" #1 (June 1938). Two side panels feature great image of Superman sprinting. Box lid has some creasing at corners and scattered lt. dust soiling. Small faint penciled price on lid. Side panels have wear to surface paper but box retains its shape and is Fine overall. Puzzle has assembled size of 12x16" and is complete. Pieces show lt. wear at edges/corners but are o/w Exc. Franco Toscanini Collection.
