Item Description
1-7/16” white metal with top rim hole as issued and with a small brass ring which appears to be original. Obverse bust of him with slogan “Martin Van Buren & Democracy.” Reverse design shows a Temple of Liberty surmounted by a flying eagle and flanked by flowering shrubs. Text is “A Uniform & Sound Currency/Liberty/The Sub/Treasury.” The piece retains most of its brilliant silver luster. NM and quite scarce in this condition.
