Item Description
Sizes are .75” to 7/8”. Each shows his fabled log cabin birth place but each also has differing additional details. The first, and the only one with text on the front, is DeWitt 1840-71. Front reads “Harrison & Reform” while reverse reads “Extra Super Fine.” Next with cider barrel and flag on the left is DeWitt 1840-70. Reverse reads “Extra Rich.” Next with a cider barrel on chocks is DeWitt 1840-58 with reverse displaying eagle and text “Benedict & Burnham.” Last with no flag pole and cider barrel to left of the doorway is DeWitt 1840-59. Reverse metal is 70% oxidized and pitted but text still readable as “E.E. Pritchard Waterbury, Con.” All four retain their reverse shanks and all four have beautiful NM brass luster on their obverses. Don & Mildred Wright Collection.
