Complete set of the first 24 presidents each in 7/8” size stating their name and years in office. All made by W&H with five having their back paper, one with no paper and 18 naming the “American Pepsin Gum Co.” Six of the 24 have small traces of age. Taylor shows the most. Adams, Jackson, Pierce, Johnson and Arthur have one or a few very light and short surface scratches seen only in reflected light. The set was produced in 1897 and was used by sponsors as a give-away or it could be purchased directly from W&H for 50¢. All retain full gloss. The only obvious age is on Taylor. A nice set. Our last in nearly the same condition exceeded $260.
