Auction #216 - Part II
Item numbers 978 through 2735 in auction 216
Item Description
Lot of five carded figures on four 5.75x8-5/8" blister cards and single 5.75x9-7/8" blister card. Included here are four of the five members of G-Force - Princess, Jason, Keyop and Tiny (missing Mark). These come on unpunched cards as distributed in Japan by Bandai/Popy and in France by Ceji Arbois, as offered here. Lot also includes two-pack of 7-Zark-7 and 1-Rover-1 which were only released in Spain by Jecsan. 1979. Most Americans know the team of five orphans through the animated TV show "The Battle Of The Planets" from late 1978. But that show was merely the product of skillful editing/voice dubbing of Japanese program called "Science Ninja Team Gatchaman." The figures are hard plastic and have articulation in the legs/arms/neck w/softer rubber heads. Each figure included a vinyl cape, a helmet and a rifle that was same style for all. Keyop has dent at top right of blister and more moderate denting to bottom w/separation from card, causing rifle to be missing. Princess has denting at top right of blister. Other blisters remain firmly affixed to cards w/exception of 7-Zark-7 and 1-Rover-1 two-pack blister, which was originally stapled to card (missing one staple, blister is aged). Cards have varying degrees of handling wear w/some corner creasing and scattered aging. Princess card has faint moisture stain to white title. Fine overall. 7-Zark-7 figure is missing single antenna but all other are NM as packaged. Figures are scarce. Comes w/double-sided 8.5x11" Bandai retailer's sales sheet showing these figures and die-cast vehicle from this line as well as toys from "Star Zinger" toyline. Crease at corner, o/w Exc.
