Item Description
8.75x13" thin artboard has pen and ink original art by Tad Dorgan, a cartoonist who signed his drawings as "Tad." He is known for his cartoon panel "Indoor Sports" and for the many words and expressions he added to the language. Single panel cartoon depicts man showing another man his basement, which features bottle of "Hooch," bucket of coal and bulldog by boiler. "Indoor Sports" caption box reads "Showing One Of Your Neighbors Just How You're Fixed For The Winter." Art has been signed at lower right and is dated "10-9." 1920s. Some blue pencil shading. Bottom left corner has moderate foxing and artboard has even lt. aging w/some scattered marks to top margin. Art remains clean and VF. See following items #1593-1596.
