Item Description
Hake #5. 1.75” with back paper of Baltimore Badge & Novelty Co. On the reverse along the bottom collet there is a partial .25” hairline cello split mentioned really just for full accuracy as it is exceedingly minor and not even a full split through the curled celluloid and paper. The rest of the piece is essentially Mint. The button carries beautifully contrasted real photos of Parker and Davis accented by an illustration of a quill pen to symbolize the editors who were meeting as noted on the button in “New York, Sept. 7th 1904” and then traveling to meet the candidate in his home town of “Esopus, Sept. 8th 1904.” A gorgeous and rare jugate with perfect centering, almost no surface wear, and high gloss. Seldom offered, especially in such gorgeous condition.
