Item Description
Hake #3327. .75” with back paper by J.B. Carroll, Chicago. The design of this button is identical to Hake #3289 which is a 1-1/4” button with text “Progressive/1916 & Victory.” The same Roosevelt photo is used on both buttons and only the text varies between the two pieces. There are two extremely faint scratches across his face that are barely seen in reflected light. These are mentioned just for full accuracy as the piece certainly remains Exc. and displays Mint. The reverse does have a pair of tiny 1/16” cello splits by the collet but each is a hairline. One of the very few buttons that can definitely be documented as a 1916 issue. Don & Mildred Wright Collection.
