Item Description
5-1/8” tall with loop suspending tin frame holding 1-5/8” domed celluloid. The frame back has stamp of maker W&H. The top of the piece is brass and inscribed “Cincinnati.” In addition to tall city buildings, panels on the left and right display a paddle wheel steam boat going beneath a bridge as well as a fountain while lower center has scales of justice. On the purple fabric is a sewn on miniature rwb American flag above gold lettering “Duckworth Club/Cincinnati, O./Organized 1880.” Almost certainly from the 1912 campaign and the only example we’ve seen. Exc. and rare.
