Item Description
Large 2.25” real photo sepia with text “Roger C. Sullivan For Vice President.” Celluloid has two tiny nail holes, one below “S” of his last name and one above first letter of President. There is a tiny hairline cut over the first letter of his last name. Sullivan dominated Illinois politics for two decades. We’ve seen the same button suspended from a ribbon badge that reads “Chicago/Cooke County Democratic Club/1916.” The button was used at the 1916 Democratic Convention in Denver, but Wilson retained his 1912 running mate Thomas Marshall in 1916. Damaged as noted but displays beautifully and with high gloss. Rare.
