Reagan writes "I've Pulled A Switch And Your Christmas Greeting From Me Went To A Local Group In Sacramento Who Are Doing A Wonderful Work With The Mentally Retarded. In My New Job I've Discovered How Far Behind We Are In This Compared To What We Do For The Mentally Ill So It Just Seemed Like A Good Idea. Anyway Here It Is That Time Again. We Came Home From Our Last Trip And Found The Civil Servants Had Done Their Duty And There Was A Decorated Tree In The Living Room In Sacramento. It Has A Kind Of Civil Service Look Too. Now You Know That Aint No Way To Start Xmas. So We Came Down Here Where We'll Have A Tree We Decorate Ourselves." Reagan concludes the letter writing "Merry Xmas & Happy New Year & Throw A Fist Full Of That Tinsel Stuff For Me." and signs boldly "Love Dutch". Myrtle Moon was the first person to hire Reagan in the entertainment field at WHO Radio in Des Moines, IA. Dutch was a nickname Reagan used when signing to personal friends.
