Item Description
Brass stickpin 2-5/8” tall names maker on reverse as Brunner Bros. Co. Cleveland, O. The front of the piece is in the form of a rebus with high relief white enamel ball representing the word ‘Baseball’ superimposed over the design of a hand fan to represent the word ‘Fan’. There are a pair of 1/16” or less surface flakes of enamel off the ball. This rebus design is surrounded by the text “Chicago ‘Cubs’ World’s Record-Breakers.” This piece was produced after the Cubs set a world record for most wins during the 1906 season. Brass areas have some luster loss but with nice highlights remaining. A rarity.
