Auction #216 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 977 in auction 216
Item Description
2x4” by American Artworks. Two cello sheets are joined by brass grommets with notched wheels on top, sides and bottom. These designate and are used to count both the “Home Team” and “Visiting Team” runs, hits, errors as well as the game innings and outs. Reverse advertises car dealer in Chicago and includes Rambler advertising at top plus small image of baseball player with name in tiny lettering below his belt “Little Alexander” and text to the right “Little Alexander/Mine Host To 35,000 Fans.” Below is bear holding a bat with text to the right “A Hearty Welcome To Every National Bug.” Text on the reverse is a little on the light side but all is easily readable. There are scattered hairline surface scratches mostly towards the top of the reverse that catch a little reflected light but are really minor in nature. Front of the piece displays cleanly and NM. Auction sales of this piece have exceeded $500.
