Item Description
1.25” and also the 1.75” buttons picturing the first Afro-American player accepted into the American League in 1947. Doby was the second black player in major league baseball joining the Indians for his debut July 5, 1947. Larger button has 1” hairline cello split on the reverse by the collet but laying perfectly flat. Both buttons display essentially Mint. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
