Item Description
Large 28-5/8x33.5" heavy frame contains hand-painted Artist's Proof by Michael Marcus and Jim Pearsall, who also provided the art for the movie poster for the 1984 crime drama "The Cotton Club" that starred Richard Gere, Gregory Hines, Diane Lane and Lonette McKee. Professionally matted to 15.5x21.5" and released as a very limited edition, this is the first of just four created, and has been signed at lower right by both artists. This Artist's Proof was presented to Robert Evans, producer of Francis Ford Coppola's film. Painted in Dec. 1983 and comes w/typed COA on embossed "Richard Evans" stock. Artist's proof is NM while COA shows moderate aging.
