Item Description
Lot of six 4x14" strips of thin artboard w/pen and ink original art by Barry Fujitani for week of April 9-14, 1979 (Monday-Saturday, not including Sunday). Each has KFS copyright strip paste-over. Part of the "Skorpi Vs Baldur" storyline, each two-panel strip features Flash Gordon's nemesis Ming the Merciless. First strip shows him shooting Flash target and throwing darts at image of his face. Second strip shows Ming admiring Dale Arden statue. Last four show Ming hatching plan to attack Earth w/fake celestial satellite filled w/weapons. Last strip shows classic image of rocketships taking off, towing weapon towards Earth. Fujitani has signed and dated each strip in first panel. Scattered editorial notations in margins, first strip having .5" piece of masking tape at upper right, not affecting art, which remains clean and Exc. Great Ming content.
