Item Description
Original glossy 8x10" silver gelatin taken at Forbes Field. Johnny Gooch (in his first year as the team's pitching coach) is shown w/his wife and two kids along w/HOF members and at the time of this photo, player/manager Pie Traynor and batting coach Honus Wagner. Traynor would retire as a player after the 1937 season but continued as the team's manager until 1939. Reverse has pencil notations of date and full names of all shown. The negative had some dust and imperfections which appear on the photo but really only upon close inspection and this first generation photo still has a sharp and bold image. Lt. handling wear. VF. Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
