Item Description
Pair of 8.5x11" unlined sheets of paper features original art by Tom Gill. Gill (1913-2005) is noted for his longtime collaboration w/Dell Comics, working on "The Lone Ranger, Hi-Yo Silver" and "Bonanza" comic titles. First sheet features lead pencil original art of Lone Ranger on Silver w/handwritten "Drawn Special For Michael Sternberg 6/14/91 - Tom Gill & The Lone Ranger" note. Nice attention to detail. Sheet has even lt. aging but art remains Exc. Second sheet features similar image, but w/addition of Tonto on Scout. This art features lead pencil linework w/nice watercoloring. Pencil note at bottom right reads "Hi-Yo, Shawn! Tonto & The Lone Ranger - 12/97" w/Gill's signature as well. Exc. Art comes w/Gill's 4.25x5.25" printed price list, noting prices for original specialty art such as that offered here.
