Item Description
Pair of scarce items from 1930s aviation themed program sponsored by Skelly oil. First is .75” tall sterling pin reading “1936 Jimmie Allen Air Races” plus the “Skelly” logo. These were awarded to contestants in model airplane flying contests. Next is 3.25” bone handled pocket knife with his name on a wing logo set into one side. Blades name maker Robeson, Rochester. Both blades have been worn down extensively. Very little wear on the exterior surfaces although tiny dot of silver luster off the word “Allen.”
