Item Description
Measures 7.50” X 10.25” with 64 pages. Published by Detective Comics Inc. in Fall 1939. Book features full page ad for the 1939 “New York Worlds Fair Comics,” which featured Superman among others. Two page ad spread for the “Superman of America” Club with advertisements for Superman emblem. Cover is detached and has some light wear to staple areas, dust soiling and pencil writing and a ½” ink mark in yellow field. Pages have some light spotting to first page and a 1.25” tear on upper right hand corner of first page as well as a 1” tear on one page in book. Otherwise pages are VF with bright and distinct colors on lightly tanned pages. A classic early adventure of Superman.
