Item Description
8-3/8x11" sheet of yellow paper has pencil art of neat couple looking at each other with bed in bkg. and caption in pencil at bottom "Oh, Dr. Queeb, You Look So Funny!" with artist's signature in pencil at lower right "Thurber." "New Yorker" contributor, cartoonist and writer James Thurber represented the urbane wit and informed cynicism of that publication. In text, "The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty" is Thurber's memorable masterpiece. His comic persona of the put-upon every man struggling to deal with a strange and often hard world has become a cornerstone of written and spoken American comedy. Sheet has light tears around edges with a few light handling creases, there is a faint dark outline around outside of image area from previous framing. Overall Good. Scarce. From the collection of noted comics historian Richard Marschall.
