Item Description
11.5x13.25" mailing envelope contains complete and unused premium issued by Quaker, 1941. Front of envelope features illustrations of Captain Sparks and Orphan Annie plus boy and girl behind cockpit premium while back has detailed assembly instructions plus order forms on flap. Scattered margin wear, age soiling, but still FN and with label. The stiff paper punch-out sheet opens to 11x30.5" with simulated wood grain assembly parts plus other accessory parts for mechanical cockpit training device. Sheet has a number of loose perforations but all pieces are still intact. Unused and Exc. Also included is 5x7.5" "How To Fly" colorful 16-page booklet of illustrated instructions for the panel board, control stick, ruddle pedals of the three-piece assembled cockpit. Back cover has full color art of Annie and Captain Sparks flying in their Quaker Puffed Wheat and Puffed Rice Sparkies aircraft. NM. This item is a file copy from the Gold archives and is accompanied by a letter to that effect signed by Gordon Gold.
