Item Description
12.75x19.25" paper sign advertising 1941 Quaker premium . Full color front features large image of the cockpit premium plus boy and girl at its controls. At top left is portrait of Captain Sparks wearing Safety Guard cap. Text includes mention of the instruction book included w/premium as well as "Come In For Free Order Blank." Reverse is b/w and top features Orphan Annie portrait. Text includes an ad for the radio program as well as large example image of Sunday comic advertisement plus inset cereal boxes. Top margin has .25" tear, trace of corner tip wear, .25" minute sliver missing from top right corner. Also extreme right edge has a tiny 1/8" flake of paper gone but all of these defects are minor and easily matted out. Front and back appearance is still exceptionally bright and clean, displays Exc. Also included is 5x7.5" "How To Fly" booklet. Displays VF with some minor soiling to three interior pages. This item is a file copy from the Gold archives and is accompanied by a letter to that effect signed by Gordon Gold.
