Item Description
16x13.5" thick diecut cardboard countertop standee w/remnants of glue where an easel was previously attached on back. Attached on the front is diecut stiff paper “Actual Size” production example of a model plane. Top of standee has hand done artwork of Capt. Spark with text and image done in tempera paint, colored pencil, and pen and ink. Lower right corner has additional hand done artwork including text and also a Quaker Puffed Wheat Sparkies cereal box in the same medium. While text has some details this examples appears to be a preliminary model as many details are generic or left out all together. Display has some aging, minor wear at edges, but displays well and is a unique prototype display Exc. Great design. This item is a file copy from the Gold archives and is accompanied by a letter to that effect signed by Gordon Gold.
