Item Description
13.5”x16” thick diecut cardboard countertop standee w/easel attached on back. This version is similar to preceding item #2254. Attached on the front is diecut stiff paper “Actual Size” production example of a model plane. Top of standee has hand done artwork by Earl Ortman with text and image done in tempera paint, colored pencil, and pen and ink. Lower right corner has additional hand done artwork including text and also mentions Cudahy’s Tang All-Purpose Meat in the same medium. Unlike the previous example this standee mentions specific models of planes including Boeing, Douglas, Seversky, and Brewster. Display has some aging, minor wear at edges, but displays well and is a unique prototype display Exc. This item is a file copy from the Gold archives and is accompanied by a letter to that effect signed by Gordon Gold.
