Item Description
9.5x11.5" flat Nabisco Shredded Wheat box w/colorful front panel offer and full back panel offer for set of eight punch-out plastic totem poles offered individually as box inserts, 1954-1956. All panels have bright color and Exc. appearance, complete in original flatness, never formed. Comes w/set of eight thin art boards, each 3.25x8.5" painted on front in tempera in sizes ranging from 7.75" to 8" tall. Each has different intricate design, different character at bottom. Includes Rinty, Rusty, Indian chief, Indian brave, four different cavalrymen. Box panel notes 5" tall image on back is "Actual Size," these painted images were obviously reduced down when printed. Front sides of art board have lead pencil lines around outside image but actual image area is bright, clean and Exc. High quality, unique art and very well done. This item is a file copy from the Gold archives and is accompanied by a letter to that effect signed by Gordon Gold.
