Item Description
15x23" original frame with glass holds printed marked "Copyright 1916 By E. L. Crandall." Huge facsimile signature below and image of US Capitol. Inscribed and signed in ink "To My Friend Leroy T. Vernon With My Compliments And Best Wishes For A Merry Xmas And A Happy New Year Dec. 20, 1919 J.G. Cannon." White margins have many pinpoint tan dots plus some hairlines of tan stain, mostly at bottom. Image and signed areas are clean. Minor wear on backing paper. Comes with pair of 5x7" photos, one with him at group center and one with another man. VF. From the collection of Leroy T. Vernon, a campaign manager for Taft and later Washington D.C. reporter for the Chicago Daily News. Comes with Hake's COA.
