Item Description
1951 premium ring in brass with adjustable bands. Ring top is in copper luster and has tiny rocketship and four stars. At the center are the large initials "CV." The edge of this piece holds a tiny brass stem leading to a larger circular brass piece repeating the initials "CV." A piece of paper can be slipped between the elements and then the hinged cover is pressed down thus impressing the seal into the paper. Because the brass stem holding the top piece was so thin and fixed into position, most kids quickly broke off this covering and most examples of the ring, while they may look complete, are in fact without this upper piece. This ring is complete and one of only six we've seen over the years. Also, this ring did not have particularly glossy luster but this example has about as much as it did when issued. Serial number underneath "94809." Exc.
