Auction #187 - Part II
Item numbers 927 through 2489 in auction 187
Item Description
4-1/8x6-1/8" button maker's paper sheet with 3 complete images and 3 images without the black ink, produced as a test printing prior to producing the actual button (see #967). Extremely fine with just small 5/16" and .25" top edge tears. Reverse has color designs to produce six "Philadelphia" souvenir buttons showing George Washington, Betsy Ross House, Independence Hall and Liberty Bell. We sold this same sheet many years ago and believe it is a unique surviving example.
