Item Description
1.25" c. 1935 with additional text "Made Only By Converse" surrounding gorgeous b/w image of Mickey as baseball batter. Faint aging barely shows around the "Mickey" letters, couple light 1/16" dots show at end of "Sneakers" plus on bottom edge less obvious spots below "Converse," and noticeable spots on orange bkg. between "Mickey" and "Converse" with one over the tip of his shoe. Perfectly centered, intense color, high gloss and bare minimum of surface wear. "Kay Kamen" backpaper showing Mickey has darkened. We feel this ranks with the Mickey soap and Mickey as Santa buttons as the trio of 1930s buttons with the best graphics. First we've offered in decades and we know of under 4 examples. Within the last year another example, also with stain, sold on the internet well above our opening bid.
