Item Description
3x4.5" stiff paper card folder opens to 8.75" in length. c. 1946. Front features image of Superman and text notes that recipient of this card is "An Official Reporter For Superman-Tim" magazine. Designated area for name and address is unused. Card opens to reveal two panels of 12 numbered squares where poster stamps were to be mounted. These stamps feature different Superman illustrations plus secret codes which were to be decoded using code charts on the back of this card. Stamps #2-9 are mounted at appropriate spots. Stamps #10-12 are loose, never mounted. Missing only stamp #1. Back of card along w/code information has Tim portrait and block for "Reporter's Photograph" although this is blank. Card has lt. aging and wear. Overall VF. Rare with this many stamps. Franco Toscanini Collection.
