Item Description
This is one of only three examples we've seen of this ring over 49 years. The first example of this ring surfaced in the late 1960s. This example differs a bit from the other two we've seen. The ring top is a brass plate with four brass tabs holding a plastic cover over profile portrait of Buck without a dot pattern. On the other examples we've seen in very tiny text at the bottom left corner the inscription is "Howdy Earth Folks/Dick Calkins/Buck Rogers." On this example the text reads "Howdy Earth Folks/Best Regards/Buck/Rogers" with the word "Rogers" only partially visible at the extreme bottom edge of the inserted paper. Underside of the ring is a narrow brass expandable band. We've never seen any paperwork documenting this ring and the possibility exists it could be a fantasy creation but as we've seen only two examples and now this unique variety, we think it is more likely a prototype. Near full luster and Exc.
