Item Description
4x6" single-sided stiff paper sign features classic image of Superman breaking chains and announces "Free Story Card In Every Loaf" and "Free Badge When You Join The Superman Junior Defense League Of America." 1941. Several bread companies produced signs in this format, but w/different combinations of art/text. This sign features "King Arthur Markets" imprint at bottom. Reverse has "Pat M" imprint" and four small spots of staining at corners as once mounted, but these do not show through onto front. Left side has paper clip impression just below center which shows slightly. Sign remains bright and clean and displays VF/Exc. Rare. Franco Toscanini Collection.
