Item Description
5.25x10.75" muslin-like cloth overseas cap w/two different sides, both featuring same great image of Superman. One side features Superman image w/"Superman" comic book title logo over his body and "Tune In To KECA Every Day Except Sat. And Sun." text referencing Los Angeles, CA station and also features large "Skippy - The New Discovery In Peanut Butter" text. Other side features "Town Talk Bread" name w/"Flavor Pakt! Instant Wrapt! Hours Fresher!" promotional text as well as same KECA text. c. 1942. Cap has some scattered aging, more prevalent at front/back top corners. Fine overall. Very rare, w/only two or three examples known. The only other example we have offered in our 49 years sold for $3,560 in 2000. See following item #2156. Franco Toscanini Collection.
