Item Description
Lot of three pieces, all from 1948 (see sign, previous item #2518) and offered via Pep cereal and on the Superman radio program. First is ring w/adjustable silvered brass band w/airplane image on each side. Top has silver luster metal spring-loaded airplane which shoots off ring top when lever is released. Mechanism works. NM w/full luster. Comes w/folded as issued directions/order form. Unused but w/scattered handling wear. Fine. Glossy paper "Jet Plane Ring" Sunday funnies ad proof showing image of ring w/promotional text and coupon to order ring w/one Pep box top and 20¢. Pep cereal box is shown w/inset photo image of Alice Faye Real Photo premium box back. Heavy vertical fold at center w/scattered staple holes on right side. Fine. Rare as complete and w/ad proof.
