Item Description
Wax paper wrapper measures 2.5x5.5" w/repeated design at center featuring "Superman" comic book title/logo and flying Superman image (some not fully seen as wrapped) plus "Fo-Lee Gum Corp." name. Wrapper remains wrapped around intact and as issued original segmented piece of gum contents as sold individually for 1¢ from display boxes in 1949. © Nat'l Comics Pub. Fo-Lee also produced a rare and much sought-after Superman brass badge that was issued by itself or w/a wallet (see item #2161). Wrapper has tears at twisted ends but o/w complete and intact. Wrapper exhibits scattered creases as originally wrapped around the gum and also has a few hairlines .5" to 1" in length although only visible upon close inspection. As is, displays nicely with bold designs and color. Overall grade is VG. Gum is in its original issued state. Rare and only the second example we've offered in our 49 years.
