Item Description
8x8.5" retailer's folder opens to 8.5x24" and features four Superman images, including very rare Superman Bubble Gum display box that sold at auction in 2009 for $17,000. Folder also shows Ronson lighters and pens. Of special note, folder mentions Columbia Superman movie serials, the CBS Superman radio show, comic strips and comic books. Promotion is noted as ending Dec. 31, 1949. In addition to their Superman Bubble Gum (see following item #2552), Philadelphia, PA-based Fo-Lee Gum Corp. produced a rare and much sought-after Superman brass badge that was issued by itself and in a wallet (see item #2161). Folder has original typed mailing label on front and sticker seal at right has been neatly opened. Folder has lt. even aging and minor handling wear. VF/Exc.
