Item Description
5.25x8x3" deep empty box originally contained 240 1¢ pieces of gum. Lift off lid and box bottom both have art/text on all side panels On center of lid and right/left side panels is inset image of the wrapper design for the "Superman Tattoo Bubble Gum" issued in 1962 by both the Canadian company O-Pee-Chee (as this box is marked) and in states by Topps (see art/wrapper lot #2554). Box has text in both English and French including "New! Magic Tattoo." Also has repeated wrapper design and text for "Gipsy Bubble Gum." One side panel of box bottom has an ad for other O-Pee-Chee lines including "Thrills Candy Coated Chewing Gum." Trace of aging and edge wear, some minor edge crease lines but still clean and tight. VF. A rarity for both non-sports and Superman collectors, the only example we know of. Franco Toscanini Collection.
