Item Description
23" long not including 4.75" streamers. The I.L.D. was founded in 1925 and starting in January of 1926 it published the monthly magazine 'Labor Defender.' The I.L.D. served as an arm of the Communist party and was instrumental in defending Sacco and Vanzetti and played a major part in the early civil rights movement most notably defending the Scottsboro Boys. Missing lower pair of felt streamers. Felt was once a deeper shade of red but overall is clean. Fine.
