Item Description
This striking and possibly unique all brass piece seems to represent an early form of what we call today a "Salesman's" button as it pictures both candidates in a show of neutrality. This brass piece is 2.25" tall and 2" wide. It features five individual brass stickpins which have had a short length removed from the bottom of the pin and then all five  are almost invisibly soldered together to create five individual pieces rising above the top of the brass shield. From left to right the pieces are die cut and entwined initials "H&M" standing for Harrison and Morton. Next is a die cut extremely detailed and realistic brass portrait of Grover Cleveland. At center is a hand engraved figural rooster. Next comes figural Harrison portrait stickpin and this is followed by entwined initials of  "C&T" standing for Cleveland and Thurman. The reverse has a bar pin across the center of the shield. A beautifully designed piece superbly assembled and quite possibly unique. Essentially Mint.
