Item Description
First at 11/16" are a pair of charms with loops. Both are dated 1888 and both carry the names of each ticket. The Cleveland item features horseshoe and four leaf clover. The Harrison piece features a flag and reverse has small piece of metal at center which is the base of a lapel stud with the stud now gone. A small loop has been soldered above and perhaps the maker repurposed this item as a mate to the Cleveland piece which is as made and never was a stud back. Next are a pair of 1" tall enamel on brass shields. Each has the same flag and eagle design with candidates name on a diagonal. Both reverses are missing a bar pin and loop to hold the pinpoint. Last are a pair of 1-5/8" pin backs. These consist of a tin rim crimped around a tin reverse with a pair of tabs on the reverse holding a horizontal brass bar pin. The center fronts are cardboard images. "Mr. Cleveland" is missing about 35% of the silver luster from the front rim but the portrait is very clean. "Mr. Harrison" is totally clean although there is a tiny 1/16" hole through the entire piece just above his head. Scarce items. Don & Mildred Wright Collection.
