Item Description
14.75x23.5/8" first printing poster for July 22, 1967 concert that took place at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium in Santa Monica, CA featuring The Yardbirds, Moby Grape, Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band, Iron Butterfly and the West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band. Poster art by Richard Tolmach features wonderful psychedelic portrait of The Yardbirds, w/Jimmy Page depicted w/a Peace symbol over his head. Concert was promoted by Jim Salzer, whose name appears at top. Printed by Maron Litho Inc. of Oxnard, CA. Pin holes at corners w/slight ring of tack oxidation at bottom right, which also has 4" corner crease. Top pin holes have small pulls from poster removal. Upper left has 1.75" corner crease. Fine overall, but most corner/margins issues would easily mat out for a nice display. Rare in any condition.
