Item Description
1951 premium ring with adjustable bands. Ring's top edge is in copper luster and has tiny rocket ship with four stars. At center is brass plate with embossed initials "CV." The edge of this piece holds a tiny brass stem that joins it to the ring base. A piece of paper can be slipped between the elements and then the hinged cover pressed down thus pressing the seal into the paper. Because the stem holding the piece is so thin and fixed into position most kids quickly broke off this top cover and most examples of the ring, while they may look complete, are without this upper slightly moveable piece. This ring is complete and one of only eight we've seen in our 49 years. The ring has both more intact and brighter both copper and brass luster than 95% of the examples we've seen. Serial number under the base is "34987". Our last example with lower serial number and Fine luster exceeded $650. This example is extremely Fine.
