Item Description
DeWitt 1864-50. 15/16" diameter with a 1-1/8" vertical pin on the reverse complete with small cut-out brass tab to hold the pin in position. Brass frame reads "For President 1864" and the ferrotype has his name above "G.B. M'Clellan." Beautiful contrast to the image and with a total absence of emulsion wear. Frame has gorgeous and essentially Mint luster. The Lincoln mate to this piece is also in this auction. A scarce piece and especially so in this outstanding condition.
